THE BOOK OF WISDOM

They brought the book of wisdom
and asked me to lay my lifeline on his cover, I did
They asked me to swear by the closed book
that they did not want me to read. I did.

Across the floor of the courtroom
I saw the truth faint, her face was gaunt
she has been malnourished for centuries
and she could not stand Time any longer

She collapsed on her knees, her back to them
I left the stand and the fat book. She was dying fast

I gave her some sweetness from my heart
and some bitterness from my life in a tear drop
Her pulse was so faint.
I asked her :why are you not at home
In the cozyness of the prosperpous book?

She said: I cannot breathe.

The powdered wigs have pollutedmy mind,

I cannot think fair.

All that is left is the intent to hurt
Her last words to me remain an unresolved enigma

She said :

I died a truth, and was born a lie.
